The vaccinated can still get infected, which means they can still transmit. I think it was a mistake to relax mask/social distancing with the vaccine rollout. I still mask up on public (when my parents take me out anywhere which is still pretty rare)

But no, the governor had to declare it “safe” and 100 percent open and not enable local county/city level gov’t make decisions right for their areas 🙄

We have something we can't control.
We can live in fear and shut ourselves away or live our lives,I want to live mine.
Not against wearing masks or precausions,but be nice if it made more sense to me more than it does.

The problem is giving up the mask is the incentive they offer for getting vaccinated. The vaccination rate will drop further if they say people still need a mask after getting the vaccine.

Armed with enough information we can decide for ourselves.
#1, Being vaccinated protects you from the effects of covid but you will still become infected and be able to transmit it on to other people, you just won't have many or any symptoms.

#2, wearing a masks has very little effect it protecting the wearer, but it does reduce the chance of you transmitting covid to other people.

Therefore if you were ok wearing a mask before it makes sense to carry on wearing a mask and ignoring the advice from experts.
