Physically, the most recent guidelines suggest no more than 10 drinks per 7 days, or 1.4 drinks a day. For women, it's seven. Even stricter guidelines suggest no amount of alcohol is healthy for the body.
If it's a not a question so much about how many drinks are healthy but more about whether the amount being drunk are okay, you may want to talk to someone. Concern over intake is a potential sign things are poised to get out of control.

1 oz of alcohol equals 1 drink. That is one jigger. If you have more than three drinks a week, and find that you need it, that is an unhealthy tendency in you.
