Worked great for me! I had "tennis elbow", even tho I never played a game in my life. Lol

Had it done a number of years ago. After the shot (which itself hurt pretty bad), it hurt worse than ever for a week or so, then got completely better.

@ticklishmeticklishyou interesting, I think I have TE. I thought I might need an op.

😌
5 in one wrist, just below my thumb, 4 in the other 😌

They hurt like hell but I've not needed them for 3 years. Ended up having surgery on one of my wrists.

They make you dizzy, from the pain, and the last one messed up my cycle. Other than that they just hurt.

@CereBellum where is it? Would surgery be better?
@SW-User In my left shoulder. Fairly large bone spur. Just remove the frigging spur.

Dear God. I got cortisone first, Orthovisc after that. Same injection site and method, though. That is a special kind of pain. Hardly the worst in my life, but of a quality that made me want to vomit on the spot. Pointy things just don't belong that far into your body. In the knees, this was.

I had one in my shoulder. They had to try different sized needles, it was quite painful, and it helped very little.

I do know people who are greatly helped by them, though.

It was many years ago . Didn’t last long maybe a month .
Careful with that stuff it will eat away at joints so in long run your worse off .

@SW-User Don't you just love getting older.— NOT

Haha ...oh the joy. There’s good and bad like most things 🙂 @CereBellum
@likesnatural Just reread your answer. Tennis Elbow from playing baseball.
I broke my elbow from rollerblading backwards on an uneven sidewalk. Definitely not a funny bone.

@CereBellum I agree. ☹️
I have had that. Worse yet... I have had injections inside of the knee joint. So painful.
@theexciting1 I thought the knee shot was sooo easy compared to the shoulder.

Knee and it took two days to do any good. Six months afterwards I had surgery

I've had to many to count... was / still is misery!
exexec · 61-69, C
Many to knees and a few to a shoulder. Yes, they help for a while.
@exexec Joint meaning knee or shoulder? How is it now?
exexec · 61-69, C
@CereBellum Replaced knee and shoulder. Both are doing well.
@exexec Most excellent.

I have loved but I don’t think I’ve been in love ever. Not from what people describe as being in love. I’m in love with my kid’s though, I know that.
@Keepitsimple Are we talking about a cortisone injection?

I had tennis elbow from playing baseball as a teen. I almost passed out from the shot, but it did wonders.
@likesnatural How old were you when you got the shot?
likesnatural · 70-79, M
@CereBellum 14. Haven't had any such problems since.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
I have had mixed success. Often it was the local anesthetic included that relieved the pain immediately.

My friend got them. The fix only seemed to be temporary though.
@SW-User And you are left scratching your head wondering why go thru the most painful shot ever, for a temporary fix?
SW-User
Into my hip and short term yes it did work
