Ohhh boy.

Oh... kind of like measles parties that one of the wives of Baby-trump's cronies were promoting a couple of months ago amidst that outbreak instead of getting vaccinated.

The stupid don’t know they are stupid!

@Wordlover Like you, for example.

@JenniferB haha!😘
Believe it not, there’s a precedent for this. Parents used to hold “chicken pox parties” decades ago, where they let infected children who felt up to it play with other children in the neighborhood. The premise was that everyone caught it at around the same time, recovered around the same time, and carried immunity afterwards.
But I’m not arguing the point that doing it with Covid-19 would be incredibly stupid, since people are in fact dying from this and there is no proof that a lasting immunity results from being infected. 🙄
The news media IS making the virus sound worse than it is, but that DOESN'T mean we should go and do stupid things like that....it isn't as bad BECAUSE of steps we are taking to fight it...

Someone is finally objecting to the violations on our civil rights.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@MasterLee Yes. The legal situation does need reveuing I agree. If a person deliberately contracts covid 19 are they in fact arming themselves? Or maybe we could see them being guilty of an offence in the same way a person driving a car carelessly can. Killing someone as a result might be guilty of Manslaughter. Interesting point, isnt it? Where do rights end and responsibility begin?

@whowasthatmaskedman too bad the virus is weaker than water.

People have pox parties now.

These are the antivaxxers.
@JaggedLittlePill I honestly didn’t realize people were still doing that. It was not recommended even when I was a child and there was no vaccine. But now people shouldn’t have to do it. The deaths that result from chickenpox are rare, usually unvaccinated adults.
JaggedLittlePill · 46-50, F
@bijouxbroussard yea..the recent outbreak of measles in Washington was due to some antivaxxers. They caught wind of cases and started hosting parties with infected kids. Then proceeded to send their kids to school and other such lovely things.
JaggedLittlePill · 46-50, F
@bijouxbroussard and yes. Pox is not as deadly as others...I just like to point out that these diseases were eradicated and there really is no need for anyone to suffer from them.

As well an immune compromised person who cannot be vaccinated will likely become 10x more aicknor die from contracting something like chicken pox. They cannot fight those diseases. Our vaccination protects them more than us who would likely be able to fight it.
