@InOtterWords ...odd, it generally takes 3-4 weeks max to get through it?
@Valentine she displayed symptoms for 5 weeks. She is doing desk duty from.home but is too weak to go out.
@InOtterWords hope your friend will be ok and better soon

@InOtterWords Have you been in direct contact with her?
@iMystery about a week before she fell ill
iMystery · M
@InOtterWords Crap...
@iMystery we would have displayed symptoms by now if we caught it from her.
iMystery · M
@InOtterWords Not everyone displays symptoms... that's just one of the scary things about this virus.

Some people have it and never displayed any symptoms at all.
Valentine · M
@iMystery But they can still pass it along, albeit without knowing.
iMystery · M
@Valentine Yip precisely what has me paranoid at times lol
Valentine · M
@iMystery Well, tbh, I work on the basis that (unless they produce a vaccine) we're all going to get it at some point. And maybe even the next version of it, for it will evolve. So, hopefully, for those who are affected by it severely, the hospitals (if the country/region has them) will be able to cope. That's the point of distancing, of course.
@iMystery but she was in contact with my whole family for a couple of days. It is unlikely that we all displayed zero symptoms
iMystery · M
@Valentine Yeah my eye is on this virus mutating as well. The only thing I hope for is that should I somehow get it, the symptoms won't be severe.

I am just worried what that means for the fact that I have asthma, though its what I call a "mild" case of it, since I can go for days or sometimes weeks without needing my inhaler...

However when I do have flu's, I need to use it more often and since Covid-19 attacks the respiratory system... yeah, I'm sure you get the picture...
iMystery · M
@InOtterWords I really hope so... I have read that it could sometimes take up to 14 days before any symptoms start showing.
@iMystery we saw her start of march and none of us or anyone else around us has been ill.

Another friend has had it with her family but we have not seen each other in a long while.
iMystery · M
@InOtterWords In that case it sounds like it has been more than 14 days already since having contact and none of you have any symptoms, so I think you are safe lol.
@iMystery I think so xx
