Some local governments in the US have barred "essential" stores, such as grocery chains or big-box retailers, from selling "nonessential" items such as clothing and toys.

Makes sense to ban the sale of most none consumables because you don't want idiot 'A' trying on clothing;covering the entire thing in Coronavirus and then taking it back to the store a few days later for a refund
