Is this stupid or not?

Some local governments in the US have barred "essential" stores, such as grocery chains or big-box retailers, from selling "nonessential" items such as clothing and toys.

Well... People are only supposed to be out for essential trips like food shopping. If the stores sell anything, then people will "pretend" to go food shopping just to get out of the house but buy something stupid instead. Right? 🤷🏻‍♀️ Idk

I don’t know either. Maybe if I had a baby I’d feel differently. Or if I was still working, maybe I’d need socks but that might be considered clothing. 🚫

@SimplyTracie But with people dying, would socks be essential? These are not easy decisions.

@sarabee1995 I agree but people who are deemed essential workers need clothing. It might be considered essential to those workers.
I’m not working so essentially I don’t need clothes.

Have you watched the news about protesters in Texas, Illinois and other states gathered together without masks no less? 🙅

@SimplyTracie Hmmm... Good point. 🤔

And, yes, I have, but I think it was Michigan in the news story I saw. But yeah, people protesting the rules. 🙄
