Simple question:

Why are flu deaths valued less than COVID-19 deaths?

The speed. We will hit 40,000 deaths soon in the US within the span of a few months (Feb - April). Whereas the high end for flu deaths (around 80,000) was over the span of the whole year. At the moment we're around 2,000-2,500 deaths each day. You don't see that with the flu.

@DDonde 4500 deaths in the last 24 hours. And the whole country is under lockdown. The "it's just the flu" folks are nuts.
