I have a round face and a recessed chin

Actually, I don't really mind for myself, I like to look into mirror especially when I'm in a good mood and I have never thought much about looks, I've always considered myself average.

However, in last months, I've realised that for most of the poeple, for example in forums or when I'm looking for a new haircut or how to do make up, round face and recesed chin are always seen as very ugly features. They need to be hidden, corrected, I'm supposed to countour my face, draw attention to my eyes, choose another haircut so that my face would be more oval, very often poeple write someone with recessed chin should consider a surgery...

With all these body positivity movements toward plus size and overweight poeple (which is something you can control way more than face features...), why are poeple so judgmental towards poeple who look like me?

You can't generalize. I don't think "all people" are judgemental in this regard... But if you check forums/videos/articles about "beauty", these are more likely to have an "ideal of beauty" that "must be corrected". Also, beauty professionals (hairdressers, makeup artists, plastic surgeons, etc) have a vested interest in convincing people that there's something that must be fixed (they make a living out of this). But that's just them, and a few others that buy into that... Not "all people" for sure... Everyone has their own preferences ("beauty is in the eye of the beholder")
