Why would you make an 87-year old man sit in the pharmacy during a pandemic because his doctor is off in the trenches?

Give the man his insulin. It’s goddamn insulin. Wtf.

My grandfather is 87. My grandma is 80. Why are they even in a pharmacy to begin with? The risks are crazy right now, especially for these basic refills. Ship it!

Do they live in SF???

In Seattle, nearly all pharmacies are delivering FOC, even for the otherwise young and healthy.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@JoeyFoxx Texas. Their pharmacy doesn’t deliver, it seems.
JoeyFoxx · 51-55, M
I assume they asked about delivery options...

@QuixoticSoul are they hard headed like you? Lol

Did they ask for help?
daisymay · 51-55, T
@QuixoticSoul Greg Abbott is fine with just using thoughts and prayers. Dan Patrick thinks your grandparents should get out there and sacrifice themselves to save his portfolio.

So, yeah, Texas.

Plus, they're WAY too busy appealing court rulings so that they can make sure women can't get abortions during the pandemic. They can only focus on one healthcare related issue at a time, you know?
JoeyFoxx · 51-55, M
@daisymay seriously? Must everything be a fucking political grandstanding moment for you?
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@JoeyFoxx They asked, seems their Walgreens doesn’t. The entire family is up in arms though, I think we will probably call all the options in their area. Most of us are sadly very far away.

And let’s just say that me and my grandfather had a bitter 20-year long argument about swords vs rapiers that started when I was about seven.

@JoeyFoxx not all older people will ASK for any help under any circumstances
daisymay · 51-55, T
@JoeyFoxx I'm sorry, do facts fucking trigger you so much all the time?

I guess there is no possible way the issue brought forth in the question could be related to my post.

You're free to ignore me.
JoeyFoxx · 51-55, M
@pdockal I know. I love old stubborn folks. Some of the most interesting people I’ve ever known have been frustratingly stubborn. Lol
JoeyFoxx · 51-55, M
@QuixoticSoul I KNEW IT! :)

Well, hopefully, they can avoid the scourge.

@JoeyFoxx Turns out, we were both sorta wrong - and both hampered by language differences that made our trips to European museums not especially helpful. It's only in the post-wikipedia age that we were able to resolve it.
In Russian, rapiers are most often called weapons with a bayonet-shaped blade - three-or four-sided, mainly intended for training fights.

...

In Russian, there is a fair amount of confusion between a sword and a rapier, arising from the fact that the word “rapier” translates a sport related to a weapon called the English. foil / ital. fioretto / fr. fleuret / it. florett / Spanish florete (tetrahedral piercing blade), and the word English itself. rapier / fr. rapiere / him. rapier (this word is absent in Italian and Spanish), which is often called a sword.
So yeah, we're stubborn. And I read translated Dumas very closely when I was a kid.

@QuixoticSoul that’s hilarious!
