There is a Doctor in NYC that has cured close to 1000 people.
Hydroxychloroquine is a maleria drug discovered in 1934. It is used in this case to push Zinc into the cells. The ZPAC is used for as all Doctors know, the Covid19 is carried by a bacteria. This combination has been successful in Europe also in “ otherwise healthy people” not necessarily in people with severe underlying conditions. The research is there and has been approved by the FDA.
@Oster1 Many people will recover without treatment. Yo would need a double-blind study to know if a treatment works.

This is the same drug that Trump has been blasted for, for the last 2 weeks because he claim it's a cure

They have but, Michigan's Governor Gretchen Whitmer, has threatened all physicians and pharmacists who prescribe or dispense it with consequences.

@Penny It's the way liberals roll.

@curiosi https://www.mlive.com/public-interest/2020/03/whitmer-order-eases-limits-on-prescription-refills-sets-protocol-for-coronavirus-drug-treatments.html looks like she's okay with it now?
@curiosi At least she’s not using inside information to profit from the stock market crash, the way conservatives do.
There’s no evidence that is a cure. It helps alleviate symptoms.

There’s a lot of bad information going around, like not to take ibuprofen, or gargle with salt water, etc.
@Penny And you must have missed where it said this was observed in vitro with other viruses. That's a long way from "take an azithromycin pill and no more COVID."

@LeopoldBloom whatever go away
@Penny Reading is fundamental.

Seriously, you don't think if there was a cure, doctors wouldn't use it? Azithromycin and hydroxychloroquine are dirt cheap and easily available.
TexChik · F
Yep ! That’s what my neighbors ( physicians) say too
Oster1 · M
Yes, plus Zinc in the mix!☺️
Miram · 31-35, F
They haven't.

There are at least fifteen drugs in trials.

Some were proven to have positive results.

They all address the symptoms and complications. Not the virus.

@Penny

And I am telling we have been using the drug for a good while in Africa.

And China already published studies about it.

It is not a cure, it is a treatment. Look up the difference.
Penny · 46-50, F
@Miram are you talking about the azithromycin?
Miram · 31-35, F
@Penny I am talking about both.

Do you understand the difference between cure and treatment?
Oster1 · M
This combination costs $20.00 for a 6 day course. We all could take zinc alone and have a degree of protection.
@Oster1 Zinc doesn’t prevent infection, but it can reduce the time a person is sick.

Thank you so much for Best Answer! I stand behind the information and have said this for days on SW. I hope it may help someone!🤗
Theres cures for everything but the health industry is definitely not to trust & extremely corrupt.
hrm. interesting if accurate.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
And so for many the "treatment" (not cure) is worse than the virus. That stuff is lethal to many! Hence why it's not being push by the FDA.

It admits that antibacterials do not work against viruses, only against secondary infections.

Then it hypothesizes a lot. "Can be, thought to, may work, interesting results, however, do not back up the results."

It's good to hope, but they haven't found a cure. There isn't a cure, but we can hope for a vaccine development.
Penny · 46-50, F
@LvChris the article says athithromycin has been shown to have antiviral properties as well

@Penny In glial cells, in a study about fetal brain development during the zika virus outbreak. 🤷‍♂️

Studies are designed very specifically for good reason and language is chosen very carefully in any study or report.

Right now you simply have two conflicting studies that involve more than one variable at a time that come to different conclusions. Like I said above, it's good to have hope, but there isn't a cure.

Even in the limited circumstance in which they are discussing it, it didn't cure anything. It reduced viral reproduction, viral loads to a point where it could be fought off by the cells in the study.
