People really need to look at the timeline before spouting nonsense.

12/31 - The WHO and China admit an epidemic in Wuhan but did not indicate that it was human to human transmittable. The White House was hearing conflicting things from their sources.
1/6 - This administration and the CDC were already taking action issuing travel warnings and start to take steps to track things more closely and devising strategies.
1/14 - The WHO reiterates no evidence of human to human transmission, but this admin wasn't buying it based on other evidence they had acquired.
1/17 - CDC starts screening travelers from Wuhan.
1/20 - NIH starts preliminary steps for a vaccine.
1/22 - WHO and China acknowledge human to human transmission but downplay that there is an emergency. US is not buying it, and the CDC seeks authorization from the FDA on testing (by now we have 1 case in the US).
1/29 - Virus task force created and start to meet daily.
1/31 - Travel restriction put on China, which is criticized by Democrats and the mainstream media as an over-reach.
2/4 State of the Union address, in which the President addresses the virus and protecting Americans.
2/6 - CDC starts sending out test kits.
2/9 - State Governors briefed via Governor's meeting in DC.
2/11 - Work begins with J&J on a vaccine.
2/14 - Plans for community based surveillance and investigation of treatments.
2/24 - White House requests funding from Congress, which was rebuked by Nancy Pelosi.

These dates are all verifiable, and if you want an eye opener, check some of the headlines from the media during these 2 months, especially in the beginning. The WHO was complacent and the Chinese government anything but transparent as the virus spread in those initial months.
