This disease ravages the elderly and the unwell. So clearly there'll be more of the older generation dying.

Even today. Several weeks on from initial outlook. THE best defence against this thing is STILL soap and water.

So if there's preferential treatment going on its probably more to do with limited resources and better chances of success.
