I wonder if Italy’s poor response to the coronavirus could be linked to any public funding cuts during the financial crisis.

I remember during the whole “grexit” bailout drama they said Italy might be next.

I think Italy's excellent response to Corvid-19 could be more accurately linked to what the whole world is witnessing happening in the USA, to then take immediate and drastic measures to quarantine their whole country.

Let's face it, Trump never even had the wherewithal to quarantine himself after having direct physical contact with a known infected Congressman. Why would anyone trust anything Trump might do to mitigate the problem for the United States if he doesn't even know enough to do it for himself?

Italy probably did the correct thing for itself as a Nation, unlike the USA in comparison, which is doing absolutely nothing of significance so far.
