Are You Scared Yet?

I was already, but after watching an Italian doctor describe what it’s like for a severely ill patient...it’s hard to breathe because the blood virtually has no oxygen...and knowing how bad I feel with bronchitis, never mind the Corona virus, I was even more scared. Then I found this doctor, who seems to tell it like it is, and according to him, it’s likely not going away. It’s here to stay, so we really need that vaccine.

Try not to focus on your anxious feelings. I mean, definitely take realistic precautions. But if you think about it all the time, it will make you feel crazy. (Speaking from experience as an anxiety sufferer.)

I’m not anxious at the moment,@SmartKat, but I am worried. The fact, he said it’s not going away, for me at least, means I remain in seclusion and socially distance myself. I’m only 6-weeks post flu and bronchitis for the third time in a year, and I never want to go through that again. The Corona virus is much worse for someone my age, with an underlying medical condition, so I’m okay with being paranoid about taking very conservative precautions. I was looking forward to getting out of the house, and being around people again, after the long isolation of winter here, but it looks like my isolation is now indefinite.

Yes it scares me because the epicenter if it is in my state. And across the street someone has it. So yeah it frightens me that my hub or I could get it. Plus I worry about my daughter and her kids.

I dont wear a mask but my hub and I avoid people and act like they are sick already. We stopped eating out and wipe our groceries down, wash everything, our hands, etc. Another patient
tested positive across the street yesterday. (Nursing home) so probably wont survive it. It's scary and it sounds like you are going to be okay! @Carissimi

That’s wise. I too am treating every person like they are a potential carrier. Even my own son. He’s living his life as usual, so if he gets it, I’m making sure I don’t catch it from him. @SW-User

I just had the same conversation with my daughter that if she or her husband get the virus, please stay away. She feels the same way too. Sad, but no one wants to get suck or die.@Carissimi
Sounds like they are over hyping it because the hype isn’t working..
was this person of normal age and no respiratory illness?

These doctors come across as down to earth, straight shooters. As scary as it was to me, it feels like the truth, rather than the usual glossing over by the government, which I believe is going to kill more people. Having had bronchitis several times in the past year, I know how bad it feels not to breathe properly, for weeks. The chest pain, coughing and wheezing just exhausts you. It wiped me out, and it takes a long time to recover. This virus is much worse than bronchitis, for those who are vulnerable, so if anything, I believe it’s being downplayed too much, and not taken seriously enough by some, including Trump. @TheOneyouwerewarnedabout
