They will numb the area and then insert a needle into the space between the lung and body wall to drain off fluid that has collected there and hampers your ability to breathe. You should feel almost instant improvement with breathing and energy levels. I have seen a few done when I was in school. You will have a small band aid over the spot and thats it

@CheriVanilla depends on how much fluid you have but your relief will be almost immediate

its mild to moderate amount--i dont even know how bad it is anymore--been monhts like this--Im on 02 and have cranked that up

had procedure--hurt like hell--took out about a qt--off rt lung--I feel better--
