6 hours and then again 24 hours later. They set the base with the first and then the real test is 24 hours later, after you swallow the radioactive iodine.

for hypothyroidism u shouldn't be taking iodine, iirc it'll make it worse

@SW-User They use a similar test for pancreas and gallbladder. It is called nuclear something another testing. Unfortunately I have had them all. Your thyroid can really mess you up if it is off even a tiny bit.
