Is it normal to have suicidal thoughts when you've become crippled??

I've got a herniated disc in my neck and it's causing me physical pain, numbness the whole works, I've been thinking of ending it all so I don't need to deal with this anymore.... yes there's surgery but what happens if I come out more broken than what I am...

I say why chance it...get a rope.

Yeah sure there is a surgical way to fix your problem...but I think what you want more than your neck fixed is sympathy. I think you should play up how bad your life is instead of doing anything about it and then bathe in the glow of the "aw poor baby" comments you get on here.

@TessDun I've had degenerative disk disease since I as 13....from an accident. It don't make you a "cripple"..."who thinks of suicide"....unless you live to whine. It took less than 45 minutes in an operating room to fix my problem when I was 24 and I have never had a problem with it again. I have a problem with whiners. Pull up the big girl panties and schedule 45 minutes in an O.R and go on with life.

@Arizv11 Lazy too????? No one funded mine. I had a choice....just like you do and I couldn't afford my surgery either--at the time. Either hurt forever---or borrow the money---do the surgery and move on with life pain free. I made my choice.....you'remaking yours. Excuses.

@anythingoes477 how you going to borrow the money from anyone for that matter because you were sacked from the job you were doing where this happened?? Tell me that mate, I can't lift my arms up over my head let alone lift or drive... So tell me how am I employable??

@Arizv11 If you were injured on a job....call a lawyer. I did. Millions a year do when they are hurt on the job. The employers pays.

@anythingoes477 Okay.. I believe it would have been better if you posted that experience in the story section so people can get the inspiration of how you’re the better and stronger man, in order to serve the purpose of this website..
Or for my case, I should have posted also about my uncle killing himself due to the same pain so others could be aware that this kind of suffering could make a person resort to suicide..,which should never never be an option...
I just hope we see this site as it is,
