My mother thinks I've lost too much weight, but it's not from intentionally dieting or starving myself.

I do eat, but have literally gone off food and don't enjoy it as much anymore. I also eat plain and light food when I have a meal and rarely snack because I have lost my appetite. This has been going for 2 years. Could depression be to blame?

My ex and I just broke up, but I'm eating a lot less to. I lost about ten pounds in a week, but whether or not it's because I miss her I'm not sure. I do think your mom is right to be concerned. She's your mom, and she want you to be both healthy and happy. Change is good, ya know?

It could definitely be a symptom of depression. Loss of appetite is common, although two years of that sounds concerning

Yes and also some medical problems. Tell your doctor about this, soon.

Are you showing signs of malnutrition? How are your hair and nails?
PrettyLesley · 31-35, F
@Doomflower My hair and nails are fine. When I eat something I make a conscious choice of eating food that is nutritious given that I know I will be full soon and won't be eating again for a good few hours.

Are you at an unhealthy weight?
PrettyLesley · 31-35, F
@awhitedot No, I'm still within a healthy weight range. Although if this continues I may become underweight.

Yeah depression can do that.
