Isn't it interesting how people against vaccination stop responding when you point out some of their arguments are refuted by the core principal of chemistry? 🤭

@SW-User are you against
SW-User
@ExtremeNext Nope, I'm only for caution. If young age or known health issues scientifically predict negative side effects, I'm all for skipping vaccinations. If you already had and survived a disease, you're already immune so there is no need for a vaccination. Feel free to skip a specific one in that case.

But if you decline vaccinations because you don't know the difference between a mercury atom and a mercury molecule, get your shots and go back to school.

@SW-User I dropped out of school at 14

@ExtremeNext I don't judge people based on that. The question is: do you acknowledge your lack of scientific knowledge and trust the 98% of millions of scientists who did study for a decade, or do you think you're wiser with your primary school education and very selective Google searches?

On a side note: lack of education doesn't make you any less worthy as a person. Skills are more important than knowledge and are usually learned outside of school. Just keep in mind that education has its purpose too, and if you don't have that, listen to others who did, albeit critically. In the meantime: use your skills and be awesome and meaningful that way.

@SW-User Well here's a thought. No-one is accountable to you or anyone here, nor do they have to explain reasons for their choices or beliefs.
SW-User
@Magenta I'm all for live and let live. The problem here is that anti-vaxxers don't let others live, literally. It's not an opinion, it's a danger to society. I think that gives me the right to know why, at the very least.
@SW-User If the vaccines really work you should be fine, shouldn't you? Why force everyone to be vaccinated if they work?
SW-User
@sunlight vaccines aren't 100% effective in every case, and some people can't be vaccinated due to a week immune system. The exceptions are protected by herd immunity which only exists of those able to handle the vaccinations do get them.
@SW-User Vaccines destroy natural herd immunity:

@sunlight that is compelling, though not entirely supported by science. Mothers can't supply their antibodies to their babies, so that's where most of his story falls apart.
