Is this normal for doctors (see below)?

She says she's willing to take me on if I keep to a number of things including scrapping all my 'preconceived ideas about what's wrong with me,' going off my current prescription and going through months of testing just to see if I really have migraines. And more batteries of tests to see if I actually have seizures. I already have a diagnosis of migraines and a 'provisional diagnosis' of seizures after EEG's confirmed them years ago. I also have a diagnosis of vasovagal syncope. I would also have to totally comply with everything she told me.

@tenente She is a doctor I enquired about through a friend who sees her. He says she's wonderful and a great doctor, but her system of jumping through hoops wouldn't work for me. I can't stop functioning just to go off my current medicine and take batteries of tests for what would amount to a year or two at least.
