How thoroughly do you wash dishes that look visibly clean after barely rinsing them?

For example, a spoon you used to eat pudding, a glass out of which you drank water, etc.
Do you wash them as thoroughly as you wash dishes that look visibly dirty? Do you use soap? Hot water?

A glass from which you drank water doesn’t need to be scrubbed as much as a plate which contained a dish with melted cheese or greasy buildup, but you do need to wash the entire glass and make sure that it’s clean.
Dishes, glasses and utensils should always be cleaned using hot water and dishwashing liquid.

I use soap and hot water, and scrub it anyway.
