my therapist told me that

the best way to deal with my anger is to write a letter to those that you hate and burn them well I did that and I feel so much better but am I supposed to keep the letters

Getting rid of the letters is the correct thing to do.
By keeping them you will re read them sometime in the future and bring back all those negative feelings.
When those memories resurface, write them down again and get rid of them. It gets all that stuff out of your head instead of going around and around.
