Does anyone know of a home remedy for joint pain and inflammation?

I use my hands for work and home. I've had discomfort and swelling in my fingers. Please any information you can give will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much to all of you for your input. Its a minor problem but I have to cook and take care of my family. Difficult to do if I can't use my hands.
