Don't you think my doctor was too harsh with me about my weight?

Today I went to my doctor. I have a very strict doctor and she got on me about my weight. She saw my weight. She gave me a serious look. Now big girls are in nowadays. I am average. My doctor gave me a brutal talk. She said, "Why haven't you been doing your workouts? I can tell you haven't been workout out."
I said, "I have been working out but-"
Then she cut me off and said, "No you haven't! On our last visit which was 6 months ago, we talked about you working out, eating right and laying off the junk food which you failed to do. You're fat. You need to lose weight."
I was shocked she said that to me, "I say I'm average. My aunt says I am very lazy and only stuffing myself with junk. I've been busy and working and-"
Then she shot back at me, "That's because everyone is is fat! Cut the excuses! You are on the borderline of diabetes damn it! You're weight gain is out of control. You're being lazy and inconsiderate of yourself and you dont care. You don't care about your own body at all. Your aunt is right."
That hurt me. My aunt said the same thing about how careless I am about my body. I stormed out of the office in years! I'm not fat! I've been busy.
I am 5'9 and 280lbs. I was 250lbs last time. I did lose weight but I stopped. Diabetes runs on my dad's side big time.

I'm your height. I'm more than a hundred pounds lighter than you and even I'm feeling that I'm out of shape and that my belly is too big. I think you need to work out if you want to lose weight. The doctor's giving you tough love for your own health benefit.
@WarmSofter I think she is very rude and I can't believe she said I was fat. Im not fat! Im average. Thin is out. She agreed with my aunt. My aunt can be too brutal sometimes.

@PoppyLoveLala All that being said, start exercising and listening to your rude doctor.
@WarmSofter Are you siding with her?
WarmSofter · 31-35, M
@PoppyLoveLala Not with her rudeness, but with her telling you to excercise and stop all the denial and excuses.
@WarmSofter I'm not making excuses. Big girls are on.

@PoppyLoveLala That's an excuse. Let me know how your first heart attack goes, the way you're going. Yes you are making excuses.
@WarmSofter well that's just plain rude. 😠

@PoppyLoveLala
she said I was fat. Im not fat!
Yes you are.
Im average.
No you're not
Thin is out.
you make it sound like a fashion statement. Grow up child.
She agreed with my aunt.
Did your aunt say you're fat? Then yes, she agreed with her.
@HerKing She never said I was fat. She said I'm so big and I don't care about myself and I only want to eat what I want to eat and just put it in my mouth rather than eating healthy foods. She knows I argue with people and she keeps cutting me off. She said, "If you wanna live being obese all your life, being careless and lazy for the rest of your life, fine! But it will be YOUR fault and you're just being a whiny selfish brat! You're being a coward for quiting!"
HOW RUDE
HerKing · 61-69, M
@PoppyLoveLala She didn't say it the way you're misquoting...And we both know she didn't. But the thrust of what she said (if she did say this) is true. It will be your fault and you will die an early death. If you think it's rude she's pointing out your self destruction, fine, now run along and grow the fuck up.
@HerKing What is wrong with everyone? Everyone thinks I'm being selfish and rude. You guys are the ones that are rude. I wish my aunt didn't open her mouth so much. She speaks her mind too much.
