I would say more acceptance of your self than confidence as confidence is quite different it’s having positive attitude towards nearly every situation and being like comfortable in most situations

sounds more like acceptance than confidence. I think confidence may come later in a case like this - i.e. moving beyond acceptance, into being comfortable in your body, happy with it etc...

No that would just be laziness. Not that a lazy overweight person can't also be confident.

It's a sign that you would be comfortable being overweight and all the problems that go with it.

To me that means they have given up looking after themselves.

It's more of a sign of laziness in some cases.. "Oh whoa is me, I'm overweight, but I can't be arsed to stop shoving food in my mouth and go out and do a bit of exercise, I'll just be happy in the skin I'm in as it's easier"
