Is there an illness or disease associated with long term constipation?

I was curious and google said this:

When I was hooked on heroin I used to get it badly, lol.

Irritable bowel disease which covers a number of bowel disorders is common but there's others. Definitely visit a doctor about it. Have you looked at your diet closely to see if you're getting enough dietary fibre, drinking enough water etc? not eating tons of processed food etc. Probably the first thing they'll ask you that's all.

Ibs is the obvious one.

I assume you eat a regular balanced diet 26th enough fibre. I mostly cook brown rice at home and wholemeal pasta (which I prefer frankly) to help boost our family's fibre intake

Drug addiction. Pills. Narcotics. Muscle relaxers. Seek help if these are contributing factors. It's worth it!
