If you have any antibiotics laying around, you could take them for the first two days to kill the virus.

Drink plenty of fluids and keep your hands clean.
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@SW-User fighting off the antibodies?? Isnt antibodies exactly what your immunesystem use to kill viruses??? Why would you want to get rid of those?

Don't get one in the first place. Take precautionary measures and don't abuse your body's natural system to fight off infections.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@SimplyLogicalDiscipline You didn't take precautionary measures.
@MarkPaul what are the precautionary measures 😶
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@SimplyLogicalDiscipline
1. Be careful to avoid touching anything from the other person.
2. Pretend to care and suggest the person go home after telling him/her she doesn't look good.
3. Wiping everything you touch with an antibacterial wipe.
4. Leaving a mouth mask on the colleagues desk.
5. Get extra sleep to support your body's natural defense in fighting off the attack it is under.

At the first sign of a cold I get some lemons or limes and squeeze one in a glass of water and drink it about 3-4 times each day. Usually doesn’t even take hold. Also extra garlic cooked in my food & mushrooms too...lots of water.
NenaRussa · 26-30, F
Take a hot shower, drink tea and congestion medicine. Try to be active and drink a lot of water.
gmatthewb · 51-55, M
Buckley's Mixture, tastes awful but it works very well. Just not available in most countries so you're probably out of luck...which might be a good thing as it really does taste awful.
Degbeme · 70-79, M
@gmatthewb AhHa! So you`re that guy in the commercial? :p
gmatthewb · 51-55, M
@Degbeme No, but those commercials are very entertaining. I like the one where he is reading the letters from customers and reads the one asking why it tastes so bad. Then he looks at the bottle and then at the camera and says "Have you seen what is in it?" Always makes me smile
Degbeme · 70-79, M
@gmatthewb Yes I`ve seen that one. lol
Tracos · 51-55, M
Warm bath, good food, lots of fluids, lists of sleep in a warm bed
Wol62 · 51-55, M
Wrap up warm, drink plenty of fluids and get a lot of rest.
Sit in the corner. It's 90° there.

Run while your body rids itself of the infection. Usual 7 to 10 days
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@jetpack thats horrible advice...
@MartinTheFirst seems healthy to me and tbh who is going to run for 7 days strait without stopping. It was obvious sarcasm and a joke.
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
Go shovel a bin full of wheat.

@SimplyLogicalDiscipline I guess this trick works by increasing the blood flow. For that you can just try wearing dry socks. As I fear wearing wet sock can also lead to other complications. Take care..
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
Okay dont ask sw for advice... theyre gonna kill you
