Do you find it weird that the level of cleanliness for pharmaceuticals is higher than that of hospitals?

I find standards of cleanliness in hospitals disgusting. I once went to the ER and the rest room looked the public toilet in the subway and smelled like it. The nurse dropped my blood pressure cuff on the floor and then tried to put it directly on my arm. My purse and jacket fell off the end of the bed to the floor and she picked them up and put them right on the blanket at the end of the bed. At no time did I see her wash or sanitize her hands.

I wasn't aware of that, but yes, that is rather strange. 🤔
