How have you dealt with adult ADD?

I'm in my late 30s and have had attention and focus issues all of my life. Ive always started new projects with so much excitement and literally will lose that excitement the same day. Needless to say, the project doesn't get finished. I'm a talented writer and artist. I can be extremely creative. But I never finish anything. I'm so tired of this. I need find a way to deal with this or my life will have been wasted. I've pretty much shut down from trying anything new. This isn't the way I'm supposed to live. Are there any medications or ANYTHING that may help? And I don't have the hyper part of that. But do I? My anxiety is horrible...
