Doctors surgery appointments are a joke in the UK at the moment.
Here in my town, you have to call between 8-9 in order to try and get an appointment for that day.
If it's that urgent, off to the nearest casualty dept./ER and wait

@PimpHerOut It's not normally as bad as that. Since this BREXIT thing kicked off, the government has been cutting costs and expenses to the things they'd normally fund adequately.
So of course, first thing to go is NHS funding for everyone.

@Picklebobble2 I see. Didnt think brexit consequences would come that fast and in health care areafirst. Still very understandable for me that people wanted to leave the EU. Cant blame them

@PimpHerOut Oh well there are all kinds of reasons for that.
Once Thatcher had sold off just about everything the country owned, oil; gas; car manufacture; plane manufacture; etc. we had little left to compete with.
And once France and Germany decided they wanted a universal currency,we knew we'd been shafted !

not personally, but my friend can't keep food down and keeps losing weight rapidly and they think something wrong with his esophagus. so they're going to do a capsule endoscopy but the soonest he can get in to get it looked at is mid-october... so he's been waiting basically a month already and has even longer to go.

Hun, call 111 and tell them it’s an emergency and that you couldn’t get an early appointment with your GP! I swear it’s like this in the UK nowadays, such a big joke!

That sucks. Here in Western Australia we have a service where a doctor will come to your home after 6 pm and weekends. Bulk billed, meaning minimal cost.

By that time you could be dead. I would call back and make it clear you need an earlier appointment.

@JaggedLittlePill I have I was on the phone 10 minutes. It's not death but blind I'm worried about
