Have you ever had to deal with a clinically insane person? What was it that made you get involved?

Well, I wouldn't say "insane" but certainly mentally ill. I used to work with adults with developmental disabilities. Along with their disabilities, many were horribly abused by family and as a result suffered mental illness. It was really tough, and really, really sad.
