I have joint pains in my knees, shoulders and butt.

I slept longer than usual last night and still feel tired. What could be causing this?

It could mean you are not getting enough sleep. There are several sleep cycles the body goes through to ensure a good night’s sleep. The deepest is R.E.M.
If you wake during this cycle the body has not been given a chance to wake up slowly. You will be groggy and feel as if you are still tired. There is more to it and I’m not a sleep therapis but I stand by what I said.
