Why don’t people who have lifeless limbs, have them amputated and replaced with good prosthetics.

They’d be able to walk/run, or pick something up for example.
Have a much higher quality of life.

Lots of reasons, where the nerve endings are, how dangerous the operation is.
In Britain we have the NHS but the prosthetic limbs they give out can be incredibly uncomfortable and many amputees don't wear them.

Quite true. Very few have access to the top drawer stuff I suppose.
