Why do they make getting mental health help so hard?

I waited over a year to finally get insurance and I want to see a therapist to help me with a few things. But no one takes my insurance (Medicaid like state insurance)

No wonder drug addiction and school shootings are so rampant, when you reach out for help they make you jump through hoops or pay outrageous amounts of money

Is there a l9cal government agency...like county health service...that can help?

Where I live some of them work on a sliding scale. If there is a help l8fe or suicide help line maybe they can refer you?

@approachingmyexpirationdate my dr referred me somewhere but they stopped taking it they haven't found another place. And they used to have sliding scale payment options but that went out the window with obamacare. So far the cheapest ive found is $75 a session
@somethingIsuppose sorry sweetie. That's crazy

@approachingmyexpirationdate yup but I'm still looking and will pay $75 luckily I have a desire to be better so I'm not giving up but I'm sure other people who are depressed would probably just give up and feel like no one cares
