Why doesn’t other countries wear surgical mask when sick

It’s common here in Korea and also Japan. I wear it all the time when I get a cold or allergy season. Also celebrities often wear them to hide their appearance or for pollution. It nice and other counties should do it.

It’s considerate too since you’re not making other sick

Different cultures. For me to put on a mask in front of them would be isolating to them.

@SakiSaki I understand. Just different cultures. Here it would be rude to people's feelings. (Which are real) Conversely spread of illness/disease helps who??

@SW-User weird. Western people are very strange.

@SakiSaki In logic, yes. I agree with you. But any day you are at risk, and those who pose most risk in health probably are not in the hospital yet, so ... what to do?

I would but it would make people nervous here.

Who cares about those people? @ZenKitzune

There a several reasons why depending on where you are from,in the orient it could be out of courtesy n respect for others or it could be from a point of view that health care is expensive

@LUVELACE health care isn’t expensive here luckily

Because I like fresh air, the reason people get sick in the winter is because germs tend to stay in enclosed spaces
Try going into a convenience store over here with one on and walking out in one piece...
