Fasting - how to survive the first three days?

Hi, I want to go on a 21-40 day fast. Unlike my other fast this is a conscious decision (without spiritual association). The reason I am doing this fast is to heal my mind, body and spirit. I am so tired of being overweight. I am 100kg and 5ft4/163cm.
I want to learn how to love myself etc etc. I’m almost at 14 hours and I am determined. I am not physically hungry just mentally. This is what I am trying to rid myself of. Slavery to food and emotional eating. This is war! Any tips and advice?

The advice would be to stop the fast. If you do lose weight, statistically you'll gain it back and more. It's also very unhealthy. Detoxes and fasts do nothing to make your body healthier and, in fact, can throw off the balance of all kinds of hormones.

Find a high protein low carb eating plan and stick to it. Don't sever your relationship with food - redefine it. And every study indicates that exercise is as or more important than what you put into your body. Good luck.
@Graylight brilliantly stated. And true. I hope she needs your advice.

Keep the food out of the house. Focus on doing a project, something exciting to keep your mind occupied & busy. Drink plenty of water time to time to flush down existing carbs. After 3 days, you will not feel hungry and cravings all will disappear. I've done it myself. I know its very healthy to fast.

If you want to lose weight best thing is "vegan diet" than fasting. No junk food, No meat, No processed food. Cook at home. Fasting is good for people who wants to heal their body without any medication. I know how you feel, coz I've been overweight, long time ago and after becoming a vegan things changed.

I understand many people would say fasting is unhealthy however you need to go slow perhaps two weeks at a time. Best of luck ! 😉

I think if you fast that long you need some preparation otherwise it can be unhealthy. I recall something about having fruits only the day before you start, but not entirely sure. Maybe it´s best to consult a doctor first. :)

I want to wish you luck as I understand your struggle, I just think that is not the healthiest way to go about it. Please be careful.

Stay hydrated. Plenty of water.
Please be careful. You are talking to an anorexic. It never truly goes away and the damage can be more devastating than being over weight. Tread lightly on this road.

This us not the way to lose weight, you won't be able to stick to it.

Best thing is to eat well and healthily and do some exercise
