Gotta love a sore tonsil 😒

@hippyjoe1955 I bet you ate as much ice cream as you could. I never had problem with my tonsils till last year. My boyfriend got sick and I guess my body has decided to fight the cold he would of have given to me by using my left tonsil.

@AJMClassof18 My tonsils were so swollen I couldn't bend my neck. It hurt and it bled and I don't remember ever getting ice cream. My sister had a similar experience but her throat bled so much she almost died.

@hippyjoe1955 Omg. I have read that there can be complications with getting them removed which is why some don't recommend getting them removed unless you really need to. I'm having the same problem now with my neck. It's like the pain is both on the inside and outside of my neck.

@AJMClassof18 Yeah it is excruciating. I spent weeks looking up because I could not bend my neck.

@hippyjoe1955 wow I didn't think it could get that bad. I give myself about another 2-3 days and it'll clear up. Last time I did have to go to urgent care because my tonsil got real big.

@AJMClassof18 Yeah of course back when mine were removed many of the antibiotics commonly used today were not available. The most common treatment was simple removal of the tonsils and adenoids. The only person in my family that kept hers was my mother.
