Has anyone here ever benefitted from an eye exam?

Like, as a shock been told they need glasses or something similar?

Yep. My vision took a very rapid decline when I was a teenager. One moment I was seeing clearly and then a short time after, I couldn't see for shit. So I went in for an eye exam and learned I have 20/40 vision. Wore glasses for nearly 10 years before I got laser eye surgery (albeit to remove cataracts) and now I'm seeing clearly again.

@Fauxmyope2 Indeed, much better! It was pretty surreal seeing clearly after everything being cloudy for so long. And yes, they're still the glasses I had before.
