Are mental disorders real?

I've been seeing a therapist since I was a little girl.
I don't remember much but I do remember them teaching me how to act like other kids or something like that...
Also in kindergarten I remember not having friends and being happy playing by myself,eating by myself.

I stoped seeing my therapist 2 years ago.
I'm making money,enough to save up alot of it so I feel like I'm fine but I know I'm not.
I know there's something wrong with my brain or maybe I'm just naturally fucked up.

Now as an adult when people get to know me they think something wrong with me.

I know I'm a little weird and all that.

seriously? Of course they are. The brain is an organ, subject to physical damage, influenced by the hormones and chemicals etc it's exposed to. All of which can lead to temporary or permanent chances in how the brain functions 🤦

@Salix75 Ridicule is uncalled for.

@InvaderNice it's not ridicule. It's disbelief

@Salix75 Saying “seriously” and putting a facepalm emoji is ridicule.

@InvaderNice to you maybe. Not to me. As someone WITH a mental illness I take the issue very seriously, so it's astonishing to me that it's even a question. I was expressing my disbelief.

@Salix75 She has a mental illness and I have a mental illness. You’re not the only one.

@InvaderNice OMFG... I know that. I'm done wasting my time with you.

@Salix75 I’m genuinely interested in what you have to say but I’m not sure if that matters to you.
