How has antidepressants affected your life?

I've got depression, anxiety, and PTSD and am going to the doctor soon to get prescribed some antidepressants. I'm a little worried, but I know its for the better.

went through a dark depression 3 years ago. but snapped out of it. so far im fine. almost took my life several times back then. its not fun to go through.
