The flu epidemic is becoming so severe in the US that one school district has cancelled all classes until Tuesday of next week. Your tales of the flu?

Haven't had it for twenty years but people-some young -are dying of it here.Once missed three weeks of school with it-seems sensible to cancel classes although I have never heard of it happening here.Silly people who struggle into work with it should be arrested!!

@TheSirfurryanimalWales I think we have forgotten, in this day of modern medicine...that quarantine is often the most useful way to contain a disease vector. Unfortunately, employers don't factor that in to employee absentee records. People with children, for example, are forced to use their own 13 days of paid sick time to care for sick children. That is changing now, in some companies....but until it does change, people will come in when they are sick. My employer paid for flu shots for everyone...but the shots are useless, as this is a mutated virus. People are dying.
@4meAndyou Of course. Once a person IS sick: They must quarantine themselves and receive proper medial care.
