Why am I so sad?

Ever since I found out I have Lupus I cannot stop crying everyday. I cry when I wake up. I cry before I go to sleep. And sometimes throughout the day. I think of scenarios where I'm dying. Scenarios where I'm suffering. I don't know how to control this.

It's not uncommon to fall into depression when faced with significant medical issues. Your diagnosis represents a change in your life, loss, possible complications...it's a big deal.

However, symptoms of both lupus and depression can be managed and worked through, that's the good news. If you feel like you need assistance a good therapist like a psychologist, LCSW or other psychotherapist can often be a great help. Good luck.
