I don't know what to do...

I am itchy all over and I think it might be an allergic reaction to my medicine. I can't talk to my psychiatrist this week because she is out of the office. Benadryl didn't help at all. I almost get to the point of bleeding from scratching.

i may be able to give you small bit of relief … allowing you to scratch without being abrasive.

we're talking three layers
      ◦ the itchy-skin
      ◦ the fingernails
      ◦ and a third layer (fabric) … placed between the two other layers.

keep the fabric stationary … gently scratch the fabric with your nails … do not move the fabric in rhythm with your scratches … keep the fabric in place. imagine the fabric is your skin and gently scratch the fabric … not the itchy skin. and watch the movement … making sure the fabric does not move.

it's percussive stimuli that is giving you relief. take care of the condition … as this is only temporary relief.
If you feel your throat getting tight, or become short of breath, go to the ER Immediately, or call 911! Otherwise call your primary care physician and explain your symptoms. He will be able to give you a prescription for the itching that will be stronger than Benadryl.

@Autumnlover I will call her tomorrow during study hall because the itching sucks.
Emotional stuff can make your body react like that. Or weather change, diet, lots of things.

As long as your throat isn't swelling up or you feel like you might pass out when you stand up (possible signs of some serious shit like anaphylaxis) you might be uncomfortable and stuff but life threat stuff? I don't think so.

Go get calamine lotion, it's the best for the itchy skin.
fluteacorn · 22-25, F
@Graciebaby Would Eucerine work the same?
Wiseacre · F
See a pharmacist asap!

Go to the ER
smileylovesgaming · 31-35, F
@fluteacorn is your throat closing. Can you swallow
fluteacorn · 22-25, F
@smileylovesgaming It feels like it a little but I can still breathe and swallow water (all that matters)
smileylovesgaming · 31-35, F
@fluteacorn call 911 if it gets any harder to swallow or u can't breath
shaelan · 41-45, M
Any chance it's scabies?
fluteacorn · 22-25, F
@shaelan Just looked up scabies and it doesn't seem like it is
shaelan · 41-45, M
@fluteacorn Yeah, okay. It didn't either when I had it, but that's what it was. The main thing is to find out what it is and deal with it, whatever it happens to be is immaterial really, once it's being treated.
fluteacorn · 22-25, F
@shaelan I will call my PCP today
Graciebaby · F
I don't know it.
Calormine does, I know that.
fluteacorn · 22-25, F
@Graciebaby I will try Eucerine, especially before school.
