And that’s it for the week. And for the month.
I’ve done everything I can do. There’s peace within that because there has to be. I can’t be held prisoner to the what if’s my mind creates a little too easily. Everything hanging in the air is now in the hands of others, which isn’t great when you have a touch of OCD, but the reality is we all have our limits despite the width and length of the cape we wear.
So, I breathe. Free from harm. Free from fear. Because I have to in order to keep honoring the path I’ve been blessed to still be walking on in life. I’ll never lose sight of that gift. …never.
And shortly after I allowed myself to let go, there in the distance stood a tree fully embraced by autumn. Its uneven branches and wilting leaves somehow made it no less beautiful. Much like the shaded moon even further in the distance with its battered surface that has provided a shield against foreign objects for a period of time that is far beyond my comprehension. Both reminding me that even with the imperfections we gather along the way, we can still manage to catch the sunlight and shine.
