As per an old post - i really love the extra things men do to look after themselves

Someone mentioned that staying in shape was enough.... which is true i suppose. In fact id agree its the most important of all.

However.....

Im all down for men moisturizing and trimming or shaving. For skin routines, (and even waxing if they want🤷‍♀)
For beard maintenance and oiling.
For trim nails and softer skin.

I dont feel any of this takes away from a mans 'masculinity'.
Conversely, It can add to it.

Theres even a place for the exotic smells of cologne and the smell of fresh laundered cotton.
(Although im a sucker for a natural scent when its intimate)

Whats wrong with a silky soft beard, or smooth skin to caress?
What's wrong with some self care and some sunblock?

Why is there this kickback that, as a man, its "not macho" to look after your exterior as well?

I don't get it.

A well groomed man is something to behold. And im not implying one of these metrosexual sterotypes with a man bun and vegan sandals.

I man can be in hi viz and a hard hat.... and its still evident he looks after himself.
