As much as I love my elder and being her caretaker, I would never work in a nursing home or assisted living...

There's sweet employees of course but a majority of them are short tempered and rude. You ask a question and get instant irritation and attitude. Like instead of asking a simple question I've morally insulted them.

Where do people get those reactions from?

And if that's who they are, go live under a fucking rock or at least get out of elder care. These are living beings. People who are loved and cherished and spent their lives caring for others.

A lot of people where I live are like that now though. Just angry that other people exist. Always ready to snap on someone who isn't informed, instead of just informing them.

Does it feel good to be a jerk?

Is it somehow satisfying to have certain knowledge and become offended because others ask you for it? Even though they are well meaning and if you tell them they will understand and leave your grumpy ass alone...

I've seen this a lot in elder care and for every one amazing person there's at least 20 who are either fake and/or mean.

Maybe it's just where I live, but damn what made these people so sour?

I know it's not an easy job but that's no excuse to be a bitch.
