Dementia sucks

My mom has pictures on her wall of all her children and grand children. She thinks they're her cousins.
For a while she thought I was her grandson but now I'm not sure she knows me at all. She just says I'm a good guy.
She still knows my name at least. Sometimes she tells me she has a son with the same name.

For sure, and I'm so sorry. 😞

I can only imagine how it is for those who have experienced this, and I have imagined. To lose but not lose someone you love. To feel for them while also feeling so many different, really, really hard emotions yourself. To say it is a sad, terrible thing...disease is at best, probably an understatement.
