This is the second time you tell people I am your daughter this week. It worries me. Affection in general worries me.

I hope you are simply empathizing in your own way and not saying goodbye.

Getting older myself, I do understand though. At a certain point even an old lioness feels like life is slipping by and wants to hold on to what is dearest to her. Well, those are my thoughts on it

@val70 I recently lost my mother. I don't know if I am ready to love a parental figure, not just now, ever again.

@Miram I lost my mom 13 years ago and now my dad is at the end of his life. I decided to work part-time in order to look after him at home. When the old lioness is at her end she knows what is important
Affection worries you?
@Miram You don't owe anyone any more than you already give. If they're gonna try to charge you, that's on them.

Does it bother you when I call you mom? You're the only person other than my biological mom I do that to.

@SinlessOnslaught No, it doesn't bother me.

The cost isn't like that. It can be grief or the sort. And I am tired.
@Miram I didn't think you meant a literal charge like money, I know you're talking about emotional cost. My statement still goes. You don't owe anyone any more than you already give. I know you'll disagree with this but you're truly the most patient and loving person I've ever met.
