How young were you when you first heard something that made you feel old?

I was in my late 20's in the 1970's. A friend told me that he went to a movie theater the previous night and overheard a conversation between two teenage girls sitting in front of him.

"You know what? I heard that before Wings, Paul McCartney was in another group called The Beatles!"

I know a mom who answered that question (asked by her son), "It's like a computer, but without the screen."

@bijouxbroussard you know we had "typing class" in high school (maybe middle)
@sylvsn59 Yes, we did, too. My niece learned to type with an online program, on her laptop.

@bijouxbroussard funny. cant say it went to waste since it helped my with computer keyboard typing.

@bijouxbroussard I took typing in High School. It turned out to be one of the most useful classes I ever had. I was never that good at it but a solid 55 words per minute was a heck of a lot better than I could do with a pen or pencil and it was legible to boot.

I'm impressed. As I recall, on my final typing test in that class, my best rate was something like 42 wpm.

This reminds me of a conversation I had with a high school student back in the late 90's. She mentioned a keyboarding class that everyone had to take. I assumed she was talking about musical instruments!
